In 2015, the month we
found the house, we met a
very talented painter who
expresses the beauty of the
Provence in his paintings,
Pascal Maucourant.
During the course of the
next weeks and months, a
friendship emerged, with
many opportunities to
exchange views on the best
views in the Provence …
As a result, you will find
many pieces of his artwork
in our house, and we are
happy to help you to get in
touch with Pascal if you are
interested in buying some
of his works to take the
colorfulness and beauty of
the region back to your
own home.
At the occasion of a visit
to Isle-sur-la-Sorgue in
April 2025 we spotted
some beautiful artwork for
our garden. A talented
marrocean artist uses
pieces from a scrapyard to
weld and forge metal
pieces into wonderful
sculptures. Our two horses
combine our interest in
engineering, recycling,
and riding in a very
expressive way. We
decided to put „mother
and child“ in each other‘s
eye sight to catch their
dynamic expression. They
are „for your eyes only“,
please do not touch or
climb on them.
The pond we found 2003
in Hamburg; 2018 we took
it to Provence as the
termination point of our
pathway towards the
lavender garden.
At our September 2025
visits to Cassis we met a
talented artist, „Monsieur
Plus“, who puts his
inspirations from Drone
flights into very colorful,
scenic paintings; we will
likely add some more in
the future.
Nature also sometimes
creates artwork; the
„punch-hole clouds“ are a
rare phenomenon which
occasionally appear in our
area in the mornings.
