HIKING Mount Saint Victoire is prominently visible in the area, and has already inspired many painters and poets. Just east of Aix-en- Provence, it offers many easy hikes with beautiful views, and a special feel for the rougher side of nature. Lake Zola offers specatular views on the mountain. Pictures below are from a 3/4-day hike. A bit further north is Mount Ventoux, legendary white headed mountain. Also famous for a challenging tour for cyclists!
