ARLES
In Arles you find some
major roman landmarks
as well as a charming and
large old town, tightly
nested into each other.
Lots to see: Roman
Arena, roman theater and
also under the Hotel de
Ville the old large market
square. The pretty inner
town has inspired van
Gogh to some of his most
famous paintings, and
you find lots of museums,
pretty shops, cafés, and
restaurants.
